Your wellness is a choice, not a chance
Healthier choices for you to ponder and maybe implement into your life!
Your wellness is a choice, not a chance.
Yikes. That feels intense doesn’t it?
I have been thinking about how we all have to walk through life on our own paths and the bumps and detours that can challenge us along the way…it brought me to a rather uncomfortable reflection.
I have made choices in my life that held some pretty powerful results good and bad.
The one that hits home the most for me was drinking. I had a choice to pick up a drink instead of actually dealing with what I was trying to avoid dealing with. To be honest, it was so much easier to actually pour the scotch into the glass and feel it soothe and warm my throat and belly, and slowly feel everything just seem to numb and go quiet. What was interesting was I actually had another choice…
I could stop drinking.
I know, this is a choice, AND it is a REALLY hard choice that causes me to really take a look at my life, and YES it took a SHIT ton of work. It does really come down to that. We don’t really WANT to do the hard work. Well, because it is hard. I did make the decision to stop drinking, and I can tell you now without any hesitation that it is for sure the BEST thing I have done for myself mentally, physically, and spiritually.
So, why do I bring this up?
Look, taking the time to care for ourselves is not an easy road, and most of the time, it is not that fun either. When it comes down to making the choices that best benefit you I ask you to look at the long game. In the end of your life, can you look back and say the choices you made were ones that truly benefited you?
Wellness is indeed a choice, not a chance. It's a proactive decision to prioritize and take responsibility for your physical, mental, and emotional health. Making choices that support your well-being can have a profound impact on your quality of life.
Here are a few key points to consider and maybe choose to implement into your life. Maybe as you read, you pick two of them, and you spend some time pondering it.
